Finster's Sculptures

Howard Finster was well known for his ability to transform what others perceive as 'junk', into towering pieces of visual and interactive art. Currently the world is experiencing a surplus of plastic and other non-reusable materials that are accumulating and polluting the environemnt. Finster firmly believed that the end of times were near, and there was a sense of urgency in his work. Thus, regenerative and reesourceful sculptures are not merely for aeistheic purposes only, but are also creative ways to manage wasted materials and found objects. The more junk (art) that is kept in peoples gardens decreases the amount of junk that accumulates in landfills or the ocean.
